Jill’s House accepts children ages 6 to 17 who have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability.
The Weekend Program
Our weekends start with drop off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening and end with pickup at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Some children stay for one day; others stay for two days.
To give families a consistent break and to connect children to a consistent group of caregivers, most children come once a month for a two-night stay. We also accept some children who come on an as-needed basis. We accept children on a first-come, first-served basis, so register ASAP at JillsHouse.org/Register. Jill’s House costs us $600 per night, but through the generosity of donors, we are able to admit qualified children for much less.
The Weeknight Program
Schools are partnering with Jill’s House to establish weekly respite. Jill’s House will pick up children from participating schools, bring them to Jill’s House and return them to school the next morning. Kids get a slumber party with their school friends; parents get a night to themselves each week. Thanks to the generosity of donors, families pay just a fraction of the total cost of the program. Holiday Camps
When school is out, Jill’s House is probably open for day camp. Families who have been accepted to the Jill’s House Weekend and Weeknight programs will receive notification about Jill’s House holiday camps.
Concerned About Paying for Your Stay?
We have Family Support Specialists on staff whose job is to help families admitted to Jill’s House navigate available programs and receive better support.
Getting Started
Visit JillsHouse.org/Register to register your child. After we receive your information, our Intake Team will be in touch with you to learn more about your child. Next, you will receive our Medical Assessment forms. We will review those forms to ensure that we are able to care for your child safely. Next, you and your child will come to Jill’s House for a “Meet and Greet” tour.
