About our Day Camps
Jill’s House Day Camps are held at our “respite lodge” conveniently located in the Washington, DC area. Every room and activity at our 42,000 square-foot facility is designed to provide children with intellectual disabilities an unforgettable experience, that they cannot get anywhere else. The space is bright and friendly, featuring colorful murals throughout. Each and every child who visits, is under loving and skilled supervision of highly-trained staff and nurses.
Giving Parents the Gift of Rest
Caring for kids with intellectual disabilities is complex and at times can feel like a full time job. Whether due to specific behavioral needs, strict medication regimen, or special equipment that most people have never seen, parents can’t simply call up a babysitter to get a break. Thats where Jill’s House come’s in.
In short, we give parents time. We call this time, respite.
Fun and Adventure
Day camps give Jill’s House families the opportunity for respite, and Jill’s House kids a week of adventure, when school is not in session. Available for kids who are already part of Jill’s House, day camps are typically available in the summer, and over Spring Break.
