The Internship Program
Making a Difference
The Jill’s House Summer Internship is a 10-week program for currently-enrolled college students who have a passion for serving God through loving children with intellectual disabilities. The program is located in the Washington, D.C. area and runs from late May through beginning to mid-August, with an end date contingent on each intern’s college schedule.
You have a heart for service.
Explore the ways you can share that gift to empower children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual disabilities through an internship at Jill’s House.
The Intern Role
As an intern, you will serve as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). You will be fully-trained to work directly with groups of kids with intellectual disabilities, engaging them in a wide variety of fun activities at Jill’s House Tysons during the week and at our campsites during the weekends.
Ready to make a difference?
The internship program offers rolling admissions, but the deadline to apply is March 10th.
About Jill’s House
At Jill’s House, every room, activity, mural, and staff member serve as a reflection of the love of Christ for children with intellectual disabilities. Our 42,000 square-foot resort in the Washington, D.C. area and our adventure-filled camps across the country were created to give these wonderful children an unforgettable overnight experience that they can’t get anywhere else. And while these kids are having the time of their lives with friends, their parents can rest, knowing their child is in safe and loving hands.
