Finding Rest at Jill’s House
The Impact of Respite on Families who Experience Disability
We’ve heard countless stories over the years about how the services we provide make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we are honored to love and serve. But it can be challenging to precisely measure that impact.
In 2024 we turned to a team of researchers at the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities at Baylor University, led by Dr. Erik Carter. Our goal was to have people with true expertise take an independent, rigorous look at Jill’s House to help us learn more about the experiences of Jill’s House families. The report helps us better understand the impact of the services we provide, so that we can better serve families and allocate our resources to what is most effective. We also hope that it serves to equip, inspire, and enable others to see the value of respite beyond what our single organization can accomplish.
