Our Organization
Jill’s House is a Christian nonprofit organization that provides families raising kids with intellectual disabilities, with short-term overnight respite care in the DC metro area and, through our Weekend Adventures program at camps across the country. Families enjoy a break knowing that their child with intellectual disabilities is having a ball in a safe and fun-filled environment designed just for them.
Is my child eligible to attend Jill’s House?
To truly enjoy respite, parents need to know that their child is safe. To that end, our admissions process individually evaluates potential clients to determine eligibility.

What is the admission process for Jill’s House?
To properly care for your child, we need a lot of information. However, we are committed to making the application process simple and supportive for your family. Our admissions team will guide you through each step to determine your child’s eligibility.

What does it cost to attend Jill’s House?
- For families who do not have a Medicaid Waiver, we offer an income-based private pay option.
- CL/FIS Virginia Medicaid Waiver accepted.
- CCC+ Waiver accepted.
What is your Weekend Program?
- Supports children and young adults ages 6-18 in our Vienna, Virginia, location.
- The program runs from Friday evening to Sunday late afternoon.
- Transportation is not provided to or from Jill’s House.

What is the Weekend Adventures program?
- Supports children and young adults ages 6-18 in locations across the country.
- Year-round camps are offered from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
- Campers have the opportunity to engage in a weekend adventure through many different activities such as archery, hiking, hayrides, low ropes courses, s’mores, ziplining, and so much more!
- Transportation not provided to or from camp.

What are your Day Camps?
- Day Camps operate at our Tysons location from 8 am-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday over summer and holiday breaks.
- Available to currently scheduled kids who participate in either the Tysons Weekend or School Night program.

What is your School Night Program?
- One-night stays are offered to kids ages 6-22 on Wednesday and Thursday nights during the school year.
- Transportation is provided to select partnership schools. The children are picked up from school, transported to Jill’s House for a one-night stay, and then transported back to school in the morning.
- Parents may opt to transport their children if they do not attend one of the designated partnership schools.

What is your Weeknight Program for Adults?
- Supports adults age 18 and older.
- One-night stays are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
- Transportation is not provided.
Do you offer tours of your facility?
Yes! Please contact us to schedule a tour.
- Families, please note that tours are conducted as part of the admission process, but you are welcome to request a tour any time by emailing [email protected].
- We also offer tours of our flagship location in Vienna, Virginia, to members of the community interested in learning more about Jill’s House. To schedule, please contact a member of our team at [email protected].
