Sounds like an Adventure
Jill’s House has partnered with Cascades Camp & Conference Center in Yelm, WA, to bring the Weekend Adventures program to families in the Seattle area. Located in the Puget Sound, the camp runs multiple weekends throughout the year, even during the winter! It is available to individuals ages 6-17 who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities.
Boundless Fun
Campers at Puget Sound will enjoy a variety of activities, including hiking, canoeing, swimming, ziplining, hay and pony rides, climbing tower, and s’mores. Camp Staff includes the Local Program Manager, a licensed nurse, two daytime Direct Care staff, an overnight Direct Care Staff, and volunteer buddies.
Weekend Snapshot
Each Puget Sound Weekend Adventure runs Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. As long as a camper can be safely served, all families, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic, will be unconditionally welcomed, served, and loved. We typically have ten campers per camp ensuring each camper is well supervised and has a great time, each time they visit.
