Parents drop off their adult children
Jill’s House Adult Program provides a fun overnight experience for adults with intellectual disabilities, aged 18 and older. Parents get a midweek break from caretaking while their adult children with ID have an opportunity to gain independence and peer-to-peer socialization skills. The program is held at our Tysons, VA, “respite lodge,” a 42,000 square-foot facility designed to provide individuals with intellectual disabilities an unforgettable experience that they may not find anywhere else.
Adults with intellectual disabilities enjoy a fun weeknight away from home while their families have a chance to rest. Recreational activities are relaxed and self-directed, and include pet therapy, games, pool time, music, sports, arts and crafts, movie nights, and more!
Individuals should be able to move through activities in a group setting and participate in completing typical activities of daily living, without 1:1 support. Groups are under the supervision of trained Direct Support Professionals. On-site nursing care is available at all times.
